Motor Show Mobility

From Liège (BE)

Visitors coming from Liège can reach the IMS Motor Show by taking the E40 towards Luxembourg. Once they enter Luxembourg territory, they simply need to follow the A1 to exit 8, which leads directly to the Kirchberg district. Signs clearly indicate the direction to LuxExpo / The Box.

🅿️ This route provides quick access to the Auchan (2,766 spaces), LuxExpo North (750 spaces), and LuxExpo South (650 spaces) car parks, all located in the immediate vicinity of the venue. The Auchan car park is particularly recommended for its capacity and easy access from the motorway.

From Aachen (DE)

Take the A44 towards the Luxembourg border, then join the A1 towards Luxembourg. Exit 8 provides direct access to the Kirchberg district, where LuxExpo is located. Signage to LuxExpo / The Box is clearly visible from the exit.

🅿️ The Gernsback car park (900 spaces), LuxExpo North, and LuxExpo South are the closest to the venue. This route is smooth and well signposted, making it ideal for German visitors.

From Maastricht (NL)

Dutch visitors can take the A2 towards Liège, then follow the E25 and E40 towards Luxembourg. Once on the A1, exit 8 leads directly to the IMS Motor Show. This route runs along well-maintained roads and provides a quick arrival in Kirchberg.

🅿️ The Auchan, Coque (593 spaces), and Kirchberg car parks are easily accessible from this route. The Auchan car park, located southwest of the venue, is especially suitable for arrivals in late morning or early afternoon.

From Metz (FR)

Take the A31 towards Luxembourg. As you approach the capital, switch to the A1 and take exit 8. Follow the signs for LuxExpo / The Box to reach the venue. This route is direct and well signposted.

🅿️ The Adenauer (438 spaces), LuxExpo South, and Auchan car parks are the most convenient for this route. The Adenauer car park, located south of the venue, is recommended for early arrivals.

From Luxembourg Ville (LUX)

Local visitors can reach LuxExpo via Boulevard Pierre Frieden, which runs through the Kirchberg district. This boulevard leads directly to the main entrances of the IMS Motor Show.

🅿️ The LuxExpo North, LuxExpo South, Kirchberg, and Coque car parks are all accessible within a few minutes. This route is ideal for visitors who wish to avoid the motorway and reach the venue quickly from the city center.

Train / Tram

Visitors arriving by train can reach the Motor Show via Luxembourg Central Station, which is directly connected to the venue by the tram line. Upon exiting the station, follow the signs to the “Gare Centrale” tram stop. The single line takes you directly to the Kirchberg district without any transfers.

Two tram stops serve LuxExpo directly:

  • Alphonse Weicker: ideal for accessing the south entrance of the venue.
  • LuxExpo / Kirchberg: located just a few meters from the main entrance of the Motor Show.

The tram is also the easiest and most direct way to reach LuxExpo from the station or the airport. The tram line connects Luxembourg-Findel Airport to LuxExpo in less than 15 minutes.

Tram service is free and runs every 5 to 10 minutes during the day, with increased frequency during major events. Access to the tram is free across the entire Luxembourg network.

Bus

LuxExpo is served by several regular bus lines, with stops located in the immediate vicinity of the venue. Each entrance is directly connected to Luxembourg City bus lines as well as to regional bus lines.
